No matter what part of a home that a person is trying to renovate, there seems to be tiles designed specifically for each room of a home. The living room should be made of laminate or stone tiles, the kitchen should be made from linoleum and the bathroom tiles should be made from glass or ceramic. This is even the case when it comes to choosing the right pool tiles. Brookridge residents should be made aware that pool tiles are often different from many other tiles that can be placed in a home because they are under different environmental conditions. Pool tiles are going to have to be water resistant as well as be able to stand long hours of being exposed to sunlight.
Waterproof Tiles
Apart from bathroom tiles needing to be waterproof or water resistant, this is also a necessity for pool tiles. Brookridge residents should know that some types of tiles that are used as flooring or wall fixtures are not able to get wet without being ruined. This is why not every type of tile is suitable to be used in a pool or around a pool, based off of its density and how much water the material retains. Therefore, it is common to see pools made from porcelain or ceramic.
Tiles and Sun Damage
Because we are always walking on our floor tiles, we do not really consider what it takes to keep them looking new, and what kinds of forces affect their condition. One of the worst ways some types of tiles get ruined is if they are being exposed to sunlight for too long. This however is not a problem for most materials used in pool tiles. Brookridge residents might not have to worry about the material themselves being faded, but whatever they were painted or glazed with could also fade over time to long exposures of sunlight.
